Holiday Magic

First off, our little guy is already two months old. He's such a happy boy, and he's growing like crazy! He loves looking at people's faces, especially his sister's in the last few weeks. He's starting to grasp things and makes cooing noises as he smiles. All of us seem to fall more in love with him every day, and if you ask us, he gets cuter every day, too. We're not biased or anything :)

2 Month Stats
Height: 23.25 in (59th percentile)
Weight: 13 lbs 10 oz (78th percentile)

Poor guy had some eye issues that morning with his clogged tear duct.

Our Precious Baby Boy

Having a toddler who is excited about Christmas trees, lights, warm apple cider, Santa, Rosie the Elf (on our Shelf), carols, reindeer, and pretty much all festive things has me truly in the holiday spirit this year. And it goes further than spirit now... it's really magic. Watching her light up at the littlest things and embracing every detail of Christmas this season is magical. I wish I could bottle it all up so I could relive it every year. Since I can't, I'm trying hard to live in the moment with both her and my little baby who's growing so quickly. It's such a special time in our lives. And I'll also throw in that it's an exhausting time in our lives, too! Wouldn't want it any other way...

Meet Rosie, Our Elf on the Shelf!

Ella made her first gingerbread house with Grandma, Megan & Josh. There was a whole lot of tasting going on among the decorating and Christmas carols.

First Family Breakfast with Santa
Here are other pictures from our first Breakfast with Santa in Dublin. The Dublin High Jazz Band and Choir performing Christmas carols, pancakes and sausage, and a great Santa and Mrs. Claus (despite Ella's skepticism of Santa) got us in the spirit. Too bad Grandma was sick- we missed her!

Ella, Everett, and I visited my grandparents for some quality one-on-one time. We had so much fun playing music and dancing, having lunch and special snacks, watching movies, and catching up at both houses. These photos and Grandma Barbie's video capture the special time we shared.

I didn't get pictures at Grandma Barbie's house, but I got this awesome video:

Chris recently spent time in the studio recording Ocean Royal's next demo. He had a blast to say the least-- Stay tuned :)

November Fun

November was a great month full of birthdays, family time, and the start of the holiday season!

Daddy's Birthday Party with Ella (on the actual day)

I had a meeting, so I left him with a decorated table, pizza, a nothing-bundt-cake and candle, party hats, and a toddler who loves to sing Happy Birthday :)

We went out to Dublin to spend time with Grandma on her birthday the next day.

Grandma's Birthday!

And the following weekend we went out to celebrate both birthday people with family, BBQ, and chocolate cake!

Everett met Ryan!

Uncle Tim, Auntie Megan, & the Kiddos-- apparently all wearing stripes. Ha!

A week later Uncle Jeff came to meet Everett and spend the weekend with us. We had a lot of fun hanging out it Burlingame, walking to breakfast and the park near home, and walking around the Sawyer Camp Trail. Some of the best time we spent together was just hanging around the house, though. Ella followed him everywhere, and they played all day while he was here. Books, play dough, puzzles, backyard play, snuggles on the couch... it was a special visit.

Ella's Buddy Uncle Jeff
We've been pretend talking to him on the phone and taking make-believe visits on airplanes to see him since!

Thanksgiving 2014

Cheers!

This year marked Everett's first Thanksgiving and Ella's first Thanksgiving as a sous chef (a.k.a. taster, pouring assistant, and stir-master). He enjoyed a lot of family snuggles, and she had fun helping, playing, dancing, and eating.

Ella was the apple tester when we made a huge apple crisp the day before Thanksgiving.
Here she's enjoying the fruits of her labor on Thanksgiving night. Yum!

The first of many times these boys have fun together on a holiday...
