'Tis the Season

To celebrate 3 months, I first wanted to post some of the holiday photos we've been collecting over the past weeks. She's for sure the best present of the year, and we've had fun posing her as such. We plan to do a 3 month post soon. Enjoy these festive pictures for now, and "Happy Holidays!" We're wishing you a season full of time with those you love, health, and fun.

Papa Rick took some great photos of Ella in her special stocking that Great Grandma Barbi made her.

Ella loves when Grandma wears the reindeer antlers (and makes them jingle).
Thanks for letting us borrow them Gina!

We had to document Ella's friends that came to see her first visit with Santa:

2 Months Big

Ella has had a jam-packed two months of growth and tons of love from family and friends. At her two month appointment she weighed in at 11 pounds 7 ounces and measured 23 inches. That put her in the 50th percentile for weight, the 70th percentile for height, and yet again, the 97th percentile for her head circumference. She is full of smiles, coos, and hiccups daily, and her neck and limbs are getting very strong. She is healthy, a good little sleeper, and overall content. We are so lucky!

Ella's First Halloween!
Ella met her Auntie Kristen who flew up to see her from San Diego. Such a special time with a baby here and a baby on the way! Will update with a picture :)

October Fun

In the last few weeks we've settled into baby life; we're feeling a little more normal as parents, a little more confident, and less intimidated to leave the house, which has been great. Ella is easy to take around so far. She sleeps a lot in her little carseat and loves to be held by family and friends.

Ella is growing every day. People keep telling us, "She's just so small!" While we know she's a little baby, she feels big to us already-- knowing what it was like to hold her just a few weeks ago. At her 4-week appointment she weighed in at 9 lbs. 3 oz., and measured 21.25 inches long. That put her in the 50th percentile for both weight and height. Her head, on the other hand, measured in the 97th percentile. A sign of a big brain, for sure :)

She's become so much more alert, checking out her surroundings and those holding her pretty intently. Just this week she started smiling, and it melts our hearts every time! Seeing her smile is pure happiness.
