First Trip to Lake Tahoe

In August we went on our annual Vadnais Family trip to Tahoe- it was the first annual for Miss Ella. Just when we thought Lake Tahoe in the summer with family and friends didn't get much better, Ella showed up. It was so much fun watching her splash in the pool and lake, play in the sand, and make her family smile the whole trip. She made everything better... but I guess I'm biased :)

Tahoe Top Ten
10. Ella's ROCKSTAR performance on the road trip up. Our 11 month old didn't fuss until Kings Beach (10 minutes away from Incline Village where we stay)... amazing and so appreciated.
9. Time relaxing and visiting around the condo(s) and pool at Club Tahoe.
8. So many helping hands all week; fun for them, break for us-- win win! Plus we loved seeing her so happy with her family and her family so happy with her!
7. Playing cards and games all week: Playing 'Heads Up' on Chris's iPad-- first with Megan, Tim, Mom, and Dad, then getting everyone else to play-- so fun! Yahtzee! ...in the condo, at the pool, at the beach; Chris's first time, and he loved it.
6. Margaritas at La Hacienda with the whole Club Tahoe crew, and more specifically with my mother; then driving her to the Hyatt to meet up with Bott and Sconnie :)
5. Walks: Morning walks to Raley's for lattes, donuts, and oatmeal for Ella. Gorgeous walks up and down Lakeshore.
4. Fun in the sun, water, and sand at Burnt Cedar and Sand Harbor, two of our favorite beaches.
3. First time going to Shakespeare on the beach; wine-tasting before, dinner at our seats, coffee at our seats during intermission, great show in a beautiful setting under the stars, Ella happy at home with family. Yep, it was amazing.
2. Our Club Tahoe Friends; we love seeing the Jones and Volpe families (and their families) every year :)
1. Waking up to family (everyone having cuddle time with Ella) and spending quality time together until bedtime.

Until next year!

Or should I say, "Thanks, Staaaannnn"

Uncle Tyler is so much fun in the pool!
I have to say, I had a crazy flashback of Uncle Corey and Katelyn with this photo...

The Infamous "Surprise Face"
It includes a sucking-in noise and is immediately followed with giggles... over and over. Hilarious!

We love seeing Kurt, Kristen, and Dylan!
The Swoboda family, too :)

Who would know Dylan is 4 months younger?

I still have plans to add more to Ella's first birthday, including some fun videos. I also plan to do posts for Tahoe and our recent weekend away in Monterey/Pacific Grove. In the meantime, sending our love to you, family and friends.
