Introducing Everett John

Welcome to our family Everett John!
Everett was born a big and healthy boy on October 1, 2014 at 1:05pm at 9 lb. 5 oz.
Mom, Dad, and Big Sister Ella love him so much already!

Let's go have another baby!

He's Here!

Everett was so lucky to have a waiting room full of family who loved him from the start.

And just like that my capacity to love grew...
Ella, meet your little brother Everett!
Everett, meet your big sister Ella!
Mommy's Recovery Buddy
Ella was so sweet when she visited the hospital every day. She kept saying, "Mommy feel better," "baby brother," and suggested I go home saying, "All done now... going!" She tried so hard to be gentle with me and her brother and just wanted to snuggle next to me in my hospital bed. It melted my heart and made me so proud at the same time. I love being a mom that much more now. It's amazing how much love you can have for your children and husband when your family grows.

Visitors
We were so fortunate to have family and friends visit us in the hospital. Nana and Papa stayed for a few days before Everett's birthday, as well as during our hospital stay to welcome their new grandson and take care of Ella and Jackson at our house. My family took wonderful care of me and joined/relieved Rick and Marie during the week, too. We are incredibly grateful for their help; it made for a very special week with them, as well as priceless quiet time for Chris and I with baby Everett.

Unfortunately I haven't gotten a hold of pictures of Great Grandma Barbie, Uncle Tim, and Auntie Kathleen from the hospital (please send them if you have them) or our friend Claire. I do have pictures of more visitors that have come to our home that I plan to share soon!

Going Home
Before being discharged we had some quality time with Nana and Papa at Sequoia Hospital. Then we were welcomed home by Ella, Jackson, my mom, and dad; Auntie Megan joined us later, too! Nana and Papa made and put up cute decorations with Ella, and then Ella baked us cookies with Grandma. Such a special day bringing our Everett home and being reunited with Ella...

Getting Dressed
White noise trick worked in seconds: he cried in the carseat until we put on sounds of the ocean. Ha!
Reunited with My Girl
Ella LOVED her own new baby and stroller that her brother gave her.
Priceless!
