The Word Explosion

Ella started using phrases a few Sundays ago (4/6) in the middle of what we've been calling the word explosion. A couple things she came out with that day:
-"Next one" that sounded more like "nest one" when she wanted me to change songs on her Music Together CD
-"I catch" repetitively while playing ball with Daddy
-"I gotcha" when she squirted herself with her bath toy
-Ella: "Doggies... doggies!" Chris: "What do you mean?" Ella: "Doggies on TV!" (referring to 101 Dalmatians)

Other words that popped out on the same day for the first time:
-street
-fry (as in french fry)
-stuck
-sip

She's cracking us up saying things like "fun" when she's playing and labeling things she never has before out of the clear-blue. It's as if she's been dying to say these things and is just now getting the chance. Here are some pictures from that very Sunday when we went to CuriOdyssey in San Mateo for the first time. It's a great mix of a children's zoo and hands-on science center. We can't wait to go back!

Daddy, Ella, and a Turkey Vulture
I think Daddy had just as much fun with the "hands-on" exhibits as Ella did :)

Ella loved the Aviary where she saw birds, turtles, and fish! Can't wait to bring Papa Rick :)
We had a great afternoon as a family of 3 1/2!
