One Month

Happy One Month Birthday Ella!

One month ago today, I went to the hospital so ready to meet our daughter,
I was anxious, scared, and excited,
I held Chris's hand as we heard her first cry.
One month ago today, we announced Ella's name for the very first time.

One month ago today I watched Chris become a father,
I watched my family become grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, and uncles,
I was surrounded in a hospital room with more love than I'd felt before.
One month ago today, I became a mom.

I can't imagine life without her, and it's only been one month.

Family Firsts

We've been lucky to be hanging out as a family of 4 for the past 2 1/2 weeks (can't leave Jackson out), and we'll be missing Chris next week when he heads back to work. Our time has seemed to go quickly with lots of visitors, lots of learning, and special "firsts" with Ella. It's been exhausting and amazing all at once. We wouldn't trade it for anything.

Ella Marie Garber is Here

Words cannot describe the amazing day that was September 18, 2012. Ella Marie Garber instantly brought joy into our lives. It was hard to pick favorite photos from the hundreds taken, so we'll get better with that as our blogging continues. For now, here are some that try to summarize her wonderful entrance into the world and our family.

Baby and Blog on the Way

As we've enjoyed a lot of our friends' family blogs, we wanted to create one to share stories and pictures of our growing family with those we care about near and far. Hopefully this will be a fun way to keep in touch, as well as document these exciting years.

Chris and I had our friend Stacy take some pictures of us with the baby bump so we will have a few good ones to share with our little girl someday. We were thrilled with the results! Stace is so talented, and we can't wait for her to take pictures of Baby Girl Garber when she arrives.
